Piano Bar Entertainment this weekend
A special thanks to everyone who joined us last night to enjoy the music of Robert Kelly, with Trice Atchison. It was a great night!
Join us tonight and tomorrow night for even more great music — Tonight is Kathryn Anderson, with her Great American Songbook selections, then tomorrow night, Saturday the 13th, join Sherri Buxton with Bob Shepherd on piano for her elegant interpretation of song. It’s going to be a great weekend here at the Gateways Inn! As always, no cover for our Piano Bar events, and enjoy our full bar and light fare menu throughout the show.

Tomorrow night Peter Putnam sings and Robert Kelly plays. It’s all part of our Thursday night “Robert Kelly and Friends” series. This week he is joined by Peter Punam, next week Trice Atchison, October 18th he brings Barbara Ween and October 25th his guest is Jeff Stevens.

Another recipe for you: Gateways Granola
We’re happy to share another recipe with you — another Gateways Inn favorite!
Gateways Granola
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
In a large bowl toss together and mix well:
5 cups rolled oats
1 cup wheat germ
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup broken walnuts
1 cup broken pecans
1 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
1 cup unsalted sunflower seeds
2 Tbs ground cinnamon
Heat together in a medium saucepan stirring constantly to warm through and combine:
1 cup canola oil
1 cup local honey
¾ cup molasses
3 TBS pure vanilla extract
Pour over the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly until well coated. Spread evenly on a lined and lightly greased rimmed baking sheet. Bake for 30-40 minutes stirring and turning over every 10 minutes to ensure even browning being careful not to burn. Remove from the oven when beginning to brown but still moist and add:
1 cup chopped pitted dates
1 cup raisins
1 cup dried cranberries
Store in airtight container when completely cooled.
