Policies & Restrictions
Reservations can be made online or by calling the Inn directly at (413) 637-2532. The Room rate is based on double occupancy (for up to 2 people) and does not include taxes (11.7%) and gratuities for the cleaning staff (5%).
Due to current circumstances, we may have flexibility on check-in times. Please contact us to make arrangements to pick up the keys, as we are not always at the Inn.
Check-out by 11:00 a.m.
To guarantee your reservation, a full deposit is required for one night stay. For stays of two or more nights, a 50% deposit of the total room amount is required. Deposits will be forfeited if guest arrives after confirmed arrival date or departs before final day of reservation. In the event of no show, 100% of the room charge for the entire period reserved will be debited. All major credit cards, traveler’s checks and cash are accepted.
When given at least three weeks’ notice of cancellation, we will refund your deposit less a 10% processing fee. If less than three weeks’ notice is given, only in the event we are able to rebook the room for the same period will we issue a gift certificate that is equal to 80% of the deposit. The certificate can be used toward another visit. If the cancellation is given within the last 48 hours, and we are unable to rebook the room for the same period, the guest is responsible for the entire period for which the room was reserved.
ADA; No pets; No Smoking; limited Children friendly rooms; Alcohol
ADA – Ours is a historic property that has continuously been an inn since 1937. In terms of building permits this means we are “grandfathered in”, and therefore do not have ADA approved facilities, access or lodging on premises. Please contact us for details.
No Pets – We love pets, but cannot allow pets in the inn. We will gladly refer pet owners to a nearby pet care facility. ADA licensed service animals for the physically impaired are welcome, as required by law. However, not all the rooms are suitable for this, therefore we require prior notification at time of reservation. An “extra person” charge will be added to the regular room rate. We may ask personal questions as allowed regarding the role of the service animal. Therapy animals are sadly, not included under ADA requirements.
No Smoking – We have a strict Non Smoking Property policy, so if you must, please smoke beyond the fence. If smoking takes place in the room, there will also be a $350 minimum fee assessed for the purification.
Children – Not all our rooms are child friendly, so please notify us when making the reservation if you plan to bring your child, and we will accommodate you as best we can.
Alcohol – guests may bring their own alcoholic beverages to consume in the privacy of their rooms, however all alcohol consumed in the public areas including the lobby, lounge, restaurant and bar must be purchased from our bar in compliance with State law.
Additional Guests – There is an additional charge of $40 per night for each additional person in the room.
Good to know
At this time we are not serving breakfast.
We add 5% of the total, pre tax room bill as a service fee in lieu of gratuity to the cleaning staff. Please let us know if you object to this, or if you wish to add to this. The gratuity, in whole is distributed to the cleaning staff, based on number of hours worked.
Berkshire Tourism Marketing Fee:
We add a $2.00 per night Berkshire Tourism Marketing fee. Please let us know if you object to this.
With such a small restaurant, it is crucial for us to seat all of our tables. We ask all reservations to please arrive promptly with a full group. Table reservations will be voided after 15 minutes. Due to our size, a credit card is required to reserve tables. Our Cancellation Policy requires that you cancel by NOON on the day of your reservation. If you cancel outside of this window or fail to show, your card is subject to a $25 per person fee.
We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. We may collect personally identifiable information when you visit our site. We also automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie information and the page(s) you visited. We will not sell your personally identifiable information to anyone. However, if you booked your room through a third party (such as Expedia.com, Booking.com, Hotel.com, etc.) – please be advised that we cannot be responsible for the way your information is used.
We may, unless specifically asked not to, add you to our email list for newsletters and other marketing activities.
Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information including, credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.
We reserve the right to refuse accommodation to guests who do not abide by our policies, or whose behavior is deemed disruptive to the tranquility of other guests, or the safety of our staff.
